Acquisitions & Distribution

On April 19, 2012, Cinedigm agreed to aquire premier entertainment distributor New Video Group, Inc.®, the leading digital aggregator of independent content in the world. The acquisition of New Video allows Cinedigm to digitally release independent films and specialty content not just theatrically but also into the home and mobile markets via all major ancillary platforms, creating a new full service releasing studio. This acquisition builds upon the strategic partnership between Cinedigm and New Video which was announced in January 2012. Going forward the combined company will acquire and release independent films across theatrical, digital, home entertainment, mobile and all other major ancillary platforms. Already, Cinedigm and New Video have acquired two recent film festival favorites The Invisible War and Citadel and expect to distribute these films in June and September respectively.
